Company History

Herman Pro AV started in 1963 with a single location in Miami, Florida, and quickly became one of the largest factory authorized original replacement parts distributors in the U.S. serving the consumer electronics repair industry. As the technology evolution negatively impacted the Consumer Electronics repair industry, Herman transitioned our focus to the Broadcast and Audio-Visual industries leveraging the expertise gained in our long history in distribution to better serve the new marketplace. Over the years, Herman has added many of the Commercial AV leading manufacturers to our product offering to better serve the needs of our customers. In 2012, Herman launched Herman Integration Services…. the only national labor sub-contractor to the AV industry (Herman-IS.com).

Today, Herman is a leading provider of AV products, procurement services and technical labor resources to systems integrators in the commercial AV industry. In business for more than 55 years, Herman empowers Pro AV integrators to achieve more by providing one-stop purchasing from more than 60 leading manufacturers, experienced technical personnel, and complete project coordination. Integrator partners leverage Herman’s deep industry experience and expertise to improve operational efficiencies and achieve time and cost savings related to the procurement and management of project materials and labor resources.

Herman corporate offices are in Miramar, Florida, with three additional distribution facilities located in Atlanta, New Jersey, and Nevada. Herman Integration Services is headquartered in Tampa, Florida. In February 2020 Herman became part of Resideo’s ADI Global Distribution business, a leading wholesale distributor of security, AV and low-voltage products.
