Dear Hermie,
I am a happily busy integrator with a full plate of projects and a great team to execute installations all day long. We’re good. I mean, really good, at delivering exactly what our customers want. Then my team is off to the next job, and the next and the next. Until one of our customers’ needs support. That’s when things begin to unravel. Did I say we’re busy? Really busy, cranking things out on a tight but profitable schedule that keeps everyone happy. Me, my team, and my customers. Until they’re not happy… when they need support, and I can’t afford to pull someone off their latest job to go on a service call in a timely fashion. The truth is I’d love to have a dedicated service team, but we do such a good job on our installations, there’s not enough daily demand to justify me hiring more team members just for service. But I’d really like to respond to my customers’ needs faster, you know, like on Day Two if need be. Any suggestions, Hermie?
